On-Campus Part-time Jobs
With a solid background in environmental science, ERM students are equipped with the knowledge, hands-on experience, and skills required by many part-time (and PSU wage-payroll) positions on campus. However, students can sometimes have a hard time finding these types of jobs that supplement their area of interest in the environmental science and natural resource management fields. The ERM office receives information about student wage-payroll opportunities from a variety of disciplines including agricultural research, environmental education, industrial health and safety, soil science, wetlands conservation, and water quality. Students can hold a number of positions including field, laboratory and research assistants, consultants, and environmental technicians. Most of these jobs require only 10-20 hours of work per week during regular semesters and up to 40-hours per week during the summer. Some may even offer the opportunity for continued employment!
